Lanark County Housing Corporation (LCHC) is seeking a high energy, dynamic, professional to fill the following regular full-time opportunity.

Reporting directly to the Director of LCHC, the Maintenance and Property Asset Manager (MPAM) assists in the management of the maintenance operations of the rental properties and housing stock owned by Lanark County Housing Corporation (LCHC) in Smiths Falls, Perth, Carleton Place and Almonte.  The MPAM directs and supervises the Maintenance Repair staff (both day and afternoon/weekend shifts), including students and contract workers and provides strong leadership and direction in the coordination of the maintenance work required throughout the rental properties and housing stock.  The MPAM works in collaboration with the LCHC Director to strategically plan and direct resources appropriately to ensure effective contribution to long term goals.  Act as public face dealing with tenants, government agencies and contractors directly.


Three (3) year College Diploma or equivalent apprenticeship program in the areas of maintenance management, building maintenance, construction technology, carpentry, electrical or plumbing; or an acceptable combination of experience and education.

Minimum of five (5) to six (6) years of progressive related experience – which must include demonstrated supervisory and management experience.

The ideal candidate must possess excellent leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving, decision-making skills and must be competent as a supervisor as defined under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.  Good computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft based products.  Must have knowledge of technical standards, building codes and municipal by laws as well as have the ability to prepare sketches and follow blueprints.  A valid Ontario driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record is a requirement of this position.  General knowledge of non-profit housing, Residential Tenancies Act and the Housing Services Act are considered an asset, along with knowledge of Yardi and Asset Planner software.

In addition to a competitive salary ($67,977.00 – $87,760.40 annually), we offer an exceptional total rewards package.  The hours of work are 35 hours per week.  The MPAM is on call 24/7 and could be required to attend evening meetings outside normal hours of work as well as extend their hours of work to meet work demands during peak periods.
